For about the last seven or eight winters, the backs of my hands have gotten so dry that they itch, crack and bleed. Last week my mother in law suggested I try some tinactin on it. (yes, tough actin) I started putting it on them a few days ago and it is almost gone. Yes, it was FUNGUS on my hands for around eight years..
The other thing I feel you must witness is this...

Even the ugly orange linoleum? I found cat poop on my fake grass this morning. Dang neighbors cat helped himself to our lawn. You would think having a big brick wall would stop that from happening... glad you figured out what was wrong with your hands, I remember how bad they would get. If they are just dry, try aquafor (sp?)I used it on London when she had horrible cradle cap, and it works wonders!

Ha ha you have mushroom hands! Love it! I can't wait to do wood floors. We picked out an awesome bamboo but just haven't wanted to shell out the money yet.

Really, I've taken care of three babies with fungi hands... gross.
I have the same feelings about carpet. Really it's just a germ sponge.
